Dear Sir or Maedamm:

For years now the scambaiters have been providing the cubicle class with tons of hilarity, who doesn't chuckle at the humiliation of a Nigerian 419er? But, as the bodies continue to pile up and the money continues to flow from Western banks (its an estimated 2 Billion dollar a year con now), perhaps it is the Nigerians who get the last laugh?

Does it comfort you to know that Johnny Law is on the case? My friend John sent me this link to a new BBC series on Inter-continental Cops and episode one is sort of a CSI Nigeria. It's fascinating to hear just how pervasive the problem is. (mp3-LINK)

extra: if you have never have seen Nkem Owoh's comedic "419 and proud" video I go chop your dollar it can be found on YouTube.

Ze Frank has a hilarious bit where he "performs" a 419 message, typos and all.

MC Frontalot did a hysterical riff on 419's for the "Outside the Inbox" online album, all tracks based in some way on certain pervasive spam messages. The album version can be found here and a live version is here. Show the Front some love.
