Break out the codpiece. Found this weird boot online called LSD Connection/Mushroom Metal Mayhem of which there's apparently a buncha volumes (this one is 8) that should be of interest to proto-metal fans of Sir Lord Baltimore and their ilk. Pentagram have already established a pretty big cult of fans who have only recently discovered this great Mid-Atlantic states basement version of Sabbath; Pentagram solo offshoot Bedemon have also popped up on a recent reissue CD as well. There's some righteous 70's jams on here, as well as some inflated, ridiculous groups whose obscurity might be well-deserved. Either way, Icecross might be the heaviest group you'll ever hear from Iceland. Hilary Blaze "Electrizion" (MP3), Wildfire "Stars In the Sky" (MP3), Pagan Altar "Pagan Altar" (MP3), Hand of Doom "There Ain't No Running Away" (MP3), Wicked Lady "In a Freak" (MP3), Rockvattnae "Hamburgerfunk" (MP3), Bedemon "Serpent Venom" (MP3), Bluebeard "Paint It Black" (MP3), Doc Rockit "Tomorrow Child" (MP3), Bintangs "Lora Lady" (MP3), Pentagram "Asks No More (demo)" (MP3), Slowbone "The Last Goodbye" (MP3), Iron Claw "Loving You" (MP3), Egor "Street" (MP3), Sorcery "Sorcerer" (MP3), Icecross "Nightmare" (MP3), Saint Vitus "Burial At Sea" (MP3).

Fun stuff. Thanks for the update, Ed. I just listened to 'Severed Crotch' (it was the name of course)
http://www.myspace.com/severedcrotch
...and they just might give 'Icecross' a run for their króna, as far as Icelandic heaviness is concerned.
But can they, or anyone on this planet for that matter, top those four high schoolers of the Apocalypse, 'Tale Crasher' from China, for out-and-out heartfelt metalness...? You decide.
