The sleeve says that the cute soloist on this song is named Erik and the boys and girls of this choir where between 8 and 16 years of age and they always help each other in all kinds of ways. “Who sings along, hits from today” -- This is an attempt to enable kids to sing along the pop-hits of their time. More than half of the songs are translated/adapted Chinn and Chapman works. The Zonnepitten were founded by Gonnie Goossens in Schijndel and existed from 1966-1982. The girls rehearsed twice a week at Gonnie's who wrote down all foreign lyrics phonetically for them. They performed on more than one occasion for the Dutch Catholic Broadcast Society (KRO) and in nine other European countries: Germany, Denmark, Norway, Hungary, England, Scotland, Austria and Switzerland.
