My family is a little weird, but they're not pictured here. That's the singer for SF hardcore brats M.D.C. (Millions of Dead Cops, Multi-Death Corporations, etc), with a friend. Now his family was a little weird - weird enough for musical immortalization.
WFMU's family is a little weird, though I suppose any family with approximately 60 immediate (and floating) members has its work cut out for it. This weekend, roughly 35 of WFMU's treasured weird uncles & aunties will be musically immortalizing a thing or 2 themselves.
Yep, the Marathon's on, and we're doing the on-air money-grubbing straight through to this Sunday, March 18th, when we put another year's fundraiser to bed with a helluva party (evidence | more evidence). The Marathon Finale stars a cavalcade of WFMU DJs rising naked before your ears, with live karaoke band behind them, to blow out the Marathon in song. This, my friends, is the 7th Annual Hoof n'Mouth Sinfonia, and it is this tradition that we celebrate with this week's (and last week's) edition of the game.
Someone's singing M.D.C.'s "My Family Is A Little Weird" (mp3, 2.6megs) with the Hoof & Mouth Sinfonia, who can it be? First correct guess earns the winner some glorious swag from the FMU hidden weapons cache.

I know it's way off-genre, but the voice *sounds* like it could be Small Change.

Interesting guesses everyone, but all wrong. Hint: this DJ is currently on a weeknight.

Nope, not me. I only endorse Metal Devil Cokes era MDC.

Well, hell, I already guessed, but if there's a second chance, I say BRIAN TURNER.
Posted by: Listener Simon | March 16, 2007 at 04:53 PM
Whew, tough one huh? Everyone gets a 2nd chance now, and let me say that any DJ who's already been the subject of one edition of this game or another is no longer in play. It's a weeknight Guy.
