If you have time to listen to only one new track today, you could do far worse than heading over to Awesome Tapes from Africa and grabbing a copy of Alhaji K. Frimpong's "Kyenkyen Bi Adi Mawu". Wow.
Also highly reccomended is the first track on the front page, "Kilyano Ratanga" by the Charles A. Chepkwony Kolu Band which "has lengthy breakdowns that sound to me like early house music—if it was done on twangy guitars, muffly bass and break-your-bones live drums in East Africa."
