Toronto based artist André Ethier's paint is fat, quick and energetic. Ethier manages to refine a crude and wide expressionistic brush stroke into an elegant form defining mass. His colors at times vibrate with a vomit-inducing Van Gogh palette while his figures strike twisted German Expressionism poses.

















He was also in a really amazing band called The Deadly Snakes and has three solid solo albums.
At least, I think this is the same Andre Ethier...

In response to the above comments, To Eli, Yes it is the same Andre Ethier who is a masterful artist both visually and musically. He is putting out a forth solo album in Sept.
To Brent, I hope you are joking...they are not the same person. The artist and musician is Canadian. (check out you tube) posted by a huge A.E. fan
