In total 4,002,146 officially fell, still setting the new record for the world's longest domino toppling.

Anthrogoth You think that's impressive?  That's nothing.  I've got bottles of wine older than that.  Just kidding, I'm actually straight edge.  World record for most bizarre musician I've come across in a little while goes to Anthropophogous Rex, the "one man band of noise death and falling down stairs."  How weird is A-Rex?  He's got a Geocities page instead of a Myspace - insane, right?!  That website is totally hillarious and confusing and can be viewed right here.  I'm not quite sure how to put together what's going on here.  As far as I can tell, we're looking at some very chill rockstar/kinda loser who records music in his basement through a 4-track which sits right next to the Atari and NES consoles him and his roomates would have played last night until 2 AM if they weren't at the Fat Worm Of Error show hitting on girls.  I'm pretty sure he's from Hadley, Mass. and he is definitely drawing in some of that Load-ness in the air - lo-fi, humorous rock'n'roll noise you might expect from RISD alumnus or something like that, you dig?  You'd like a few samples?  No problem.

Anthropophogous Rex - 30 Degrees In The Shade

Anthropophogous Rex - Goth Booty / Goth Pie

Anthropophogous Rex - All I Care About Is Wizardry

Anthropophogous Rex - Excerpt from "For The Girls"

For The Girls is Anthro Rex's most recent release, a C-60 of "mostly internal feedback and stuff running out of batteries. i think it is one of my better/bestest releases." He's also in this crazy band called Defneg.

Defneg - You Moved To NY Cuz You Suck

Is your ass kicked yet?  All of these (absurdly limited and super cheap) releases are available through Breaking World Records (ooooooohhhh, that's why he was talking about dominos earlier...), a CDR/cassette label that A-Rex helps run.  Below the fold are seven more not-to-be-missed mp3s from Breaking World Records bands and a rather scanadolous NSFW pic of A-Rex...

Extreme Animals - God JamAnthro2

Do people up there actually dance to this?  If so, I'm packing my bags.

Moxy Van Float - Feathers

Cherry Blossoms - Rocks and Stones

Co-released by Apostasy, Black Velvet Fuckere, Breaking World Records, Consaguineous Records, Hank the Herald Angel Recordings, and Yeay! Cassettes.

Weirdo Begeirdo - Tentacular

Nice krautty build up.  New release.

Diagram A - uxc j uv

Live set on Dan Bodah's show here.

Fat Worm Of Error - Red Melting Plastic Box

Says A-Rex: "the best band in western mass with more than two members!!!!!!!!!!"  I think Fat Worm of Error is also the only Breaking World Records band to go on to a larger label - in this case, FWOE had a release a few years back on Load.

Angeldust - Look It Here

here is more outdated, but accurate info on the western mass scene from a couple of years ago.

woah - thanks for posting all this! i'd also like to point out that the second picture highlights Anthro's respect to the Flywheel DiY Space by placing a protective sheet of cardboard below him before writhing inna pool of flake blood.
