Here's something you don't see everyday and unless you're a devotee of stand-up comedy history, it's something you may not have even known. Pat Morita was a stand-up comedian. He often performed as the self-proclaimed "Hip Nip" (his phrase - not mine). Here he is on a 1965 episode of The Hollywood Palace.

I'm with hello, I gave up watching after a couple of minutes. It's interesting that 10 years later he was gray haired Arnold on Happy Days. Comedy must age you.

"Cutty Sake"...amazing. Another reason why Pat Morita is awesome! First Pat, then a Puerto Rican Trapeez artist, I had no idea 1965 America was so multicultural.

Cool video...but I wish "Hollywood Palace" could have put their logo anywhere else except right over Pat's face!
