We hope you're all saving your pennies as next weekend is WFMU's annual record fair, arguably one the world's premier crate digging events.
The fair is happening October 24, 25 and 26th at Manhattan's Metropolitan Pavilion at 125 West 18th Street . Besides 10,000 square feet of amazing CDs, LPs, DVDs and artwork, there will be live broadcasts and performances from by DMBQ and Monotonix as well as a full schedule of movies and guests in the AV Lounge.
We're also pleased to announce that Friday night from 8pm to 10pm some mystery surprise guests from Stones Throw will be manning the decks and perhaps sharing some of their finds.
For the uninitiated, you can read an old write-up of the fair by the folks at Rhino here and I suppose this is as good time as any to trot out New York Noise's brilliant Antique Rockshow video from last year's fair.

Hey! Nice to see Shana's still making it out to the Record Fair. I'm still waiting for the Pinataland EP you gave me at Big Wong on Mott Street to shoot up to the heady heights of eight to ten thousand dollars though...

'brilliant' is such an over-used term.
can we settle on 'droll?'
i am sad that i am 2000 miles from the fair, but my wallet is breathing easier....
