COLOR, COMEDY AND CHIMPANZEES is the order of the summer day at the St. Louis Zoo's famous Chimpanzee Show. Here's part of the chimpanzee crew aboard the float that circles the stage at the start of this fast-paced, hilarious show.

I was born in St. Louis and lived there until I was 8 years old! I remember this monkey show well. I saw the transformation of the St. Louis zoo exhibit from this awesome comedy show pictured here to the more P.C. "natural environment" surroundings that became so "en vogue" in the 1970's. Of course, the (presumably abused) comedy show monkeys were totally well behaved, but once they got their natural habitat, that's when i remember seeing monkeys peeing on people, masturbating, etc. As far as I'm concerned those "natural" monkeys were like hippies, man...
