Rain date July 19th.

Later, Noah is joined by Blacastan and MC Moe Pope (l.), as they play some of their favorite tracks and each discusses his new release on Brick Records. 7/13, from midnight to 3 AM (late Monday night aka early Tuesday morning). And speaking of! Diane Kamikaze treats us to a super-special Tuesday afternoon show that pays tribute to the great Ronnie James Dio, who would have turned 68 on July 10th. She will also host live music by Coliseum, the hardcore trio from Louisville who are touring to support their new album House With a Curse, out now on the Temporary Residence label. Diane's Kamikaze Fun Machine of 7/13, from noon to 3PM. Be there.

Finally, on My Castle of Quiet, Wm. Berger will welcome back C. Lavender, the collage noise artist whom Baltimore City Paper called the "national goddess of hot-wired electronics and semiotic dissonance." She's graced the program before, but will be playing her music on it for the first time -- listen in on the live set and conversation with this NJ native and longtime MCoQ supporter, Friday (late Thursday night) from midnight to 3AM. Watch a performance of Lavender's with Cock E.S.P. earlier this year.

The segue I heard last week that delighted me the most was on Trouble's show -- she played a buttery vintage dub selection by Cornell Campbell and then "Lover Please" by the Vernons Girls (from a great comp and a Vernons Girls anthology, respectively). It made me glad to have a morning off and be alive. You can hear it too.
