I love the PTC website. It's like that show Talk Soup. I can go every week and check the clip of the week and get a good chuckle. Hey by the way, am I the only one that thinks that if they were to spend as much time parenting their children as they do writing the FCC that their kids would probably be better off and have the tools to do with these shocking images?

The FCC and the blanket allegiance to it by some people is starting to freak me out a bit. I've really got to take time to read all the fine print cuz it seems, thus far, that it's far more criminal to errortain on the side of SEX -- something all living things in nature do and without which we wouldn't be here -- than DEATH -- something we, by nature, go to great lengths to avoid. It's "interesting" how I heard a Saturday morning cartoon mention cutting someone into little pieces and yet it's necessary to blur the bottoms of the like.
Agreed, Rob, btw. The biggest "freak" factor is the expectation of so many people for so-called decent programming on TV and Radio. Hey, I was a kid in the 70s -- you shoulda SEEN some of the shit they got away with!
The only direction I'm leaning in these days, on the ideological side, is a separation of church and state extended to listener supported stations. That is, if the listeners wholly support the programming, then the FCC is hands off. For those stations who spend most of their time dementing the public mind with commercials, the FCC would reign down on them and the "freaks" who like having an umbrella to tout.
