MP3 download: Super Mario Brothers Theme performed by a symphony
Imagine a mega-fest where video game music is performed by an orchestra to a synchronized laser show, stunt performers act out moves that would put out even the most dextrous of index fingers, and concertgoers are invited onstage to compare joysticks. Just when you thought gamers couldn't get any geekier, along comes Video Games Live.
Who wants to guess the male to female ratio at this event?
Other video game related items: Commodore 64 music and Super Mario Brothers in acapella (video).
Also of note: The Minibosses, a band that plays music from old Nintendo vidya-games like Castlevania and Mega-Man. They were featured in WiReD magazine recently; the writeup is online.

Hey, don't be so hard on gamers. When you factor in the paid models at the industry booths, the chick-to-nerd ratio (CNR) approaches a healthy 1%.

You obviously don't respect the hard work of those soundtrack composers OR the orchestra players.
