Stephen Colbert's sour grapes (39MB mpeg file) over being left off the 2006 MacArthur Fellows list this year. While it's understandable that Colbert could have no respect for out music, or the myriad of contributions John Zorn has made to the local and international music communities, perhaps he is merely jealous that he never got to appear as a studio musician on a Joe Piscopo record.
I was happy to see John Zorn recognized by the colbert report, even if the show did poke fun at him. I'm sure colbert means to flatter Zorn.

I think you've totally missed what The Colbert Report is. It's packed with satire, and I'm sure Colbert respects all the people on the list he mentioned. I think you've misunderstood The Colbert Report if you think "Sour grapes" is an appropriate way to lable the video. :)

In agreement with the other commentors. Getting roasted on Colbert is tantamount to a ringing endorsement. That's kind of the point of the whole show/joke...
