Jamaican Label Art is a very nicely done site that lovingly displays over 1600 label scans, hundreds of sleeves and lots of other assorted ephemera. Say the proprietors:
J.L.A. is a website for those people who are obsessed with Caribbean music and the artwork and design of the labels on the vinyl reproductions of that music. It doesn't matter if those labels are on recordings of Jamaican music released in the U.S.A., or indeed Trini Calypso released in the U.K. It's all the same to us! We don't intend the site to be an exhaustive discography of single releases, there are plenty of those to be bought from the bookseller or found for free on the Net. Instead we both thought it was about time for an online version of a coffee table book; glossy and thin on information but thick on indulgence. In short pure eye candy, nothing more.

In honor of these great images (and since you're going to need something to listen to while you browse) why not check out:
- Some Ultra-Rare Jamaican MP3s courtesty of Brian
- Val Bennet's dubby version of 'Take 5' courtesy of Small Change
- A journey through old school dancehall also courtesy of Small Change
I wish someone could make obscure Jamaican vinyl finds more of a regular thing on WFMU blog. There's SO much vinyl out there, but most serious reggae vinyl collectors are too high or too old school to archive stuff to mp3. Thanks for this.
