Soviet Children's Cinema- Maria The Wonderful Weaver

MariaThis is one of the best things I have stumbled upon in a while- Soviet fairy tale filmmaker Alexander Rou's Maria The Wonderful Weaver. A military man has to rescue a young girl from the treacherous and elusive Tsar Vodokrut XIII by trekking through the Enchanted Forest. Many mishaps and conundrums are encountered along the way!

Military Man Saves The Bears! (.mp4 file / YouTube link) - This might be the best moment in cinematic history! Mewling baby bears, a bear trap and a fancy bottle of vodka!

Dancing At The Fortress (.mp4 file / YouTube link) - A surreal color-drenched dance sequence featuring a motley crew of miscreants!
