There was a fellow camped out in a cave on the grounds at Los Alamos for quite a while who was only found ot when he got careless with his campfire. There is some good work that goes on there, notably the plotting of the genealogical family tree of HIV. Mostly though it's perfecting the art of mass murder. I don't know who would be surprised that these folks want to numb their mind and senses.
