Here's a wild and crazy YouTube find. It's an episode of The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson from 1966 featuring the pre-teen garage rock band Gary and the Hornets. As Johnny mentions in their intro, they recorded for the SMASH Records label - home to James Brown, Jay and the Techniques, Roger "King of the Road" Miller, and The Walker Brothers (featuring college radio hero Scott Walker).
