Mike Curb Congregation - More Than Ever (Nixon Theme Song) (1:59)
Mike Curb Congregation - Nixon Now Rally Song (2:33)
These campaign songs for the Nixon re-election effort demonstrate a political dynamic that remains effective to this day. It is not very important to appeal to young people, but it is very important to make old people feel as though you are attempting to appeal to young people - hence the modern grooves of the Mike Curb Congregation, which probably actually did entice a Christian Youth Group or two to the campaign.

As head of MGM Records, he made a big deal of dropping lots of artists, nominally for their drug use. Most of them simply weren't selling, and Eric Burdon tried to get dropped, to no avail.
