Kiss get their first television exposure in 1976 on The Paul Lynde Halloween Special - now on DVD. Stay tuned for some scarrrry disco dancing action with Pinkie Tuscadero (Roz Kelly) as well as such variety show icons as Billy Barty, Tim Conway, Florence Henderson, Betty White, and of course very special co-hosts The Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) and Witchiepoo (Billie Hayes).
Boris Karloff replaces Dinah Shore on her show, sponsored by Shiverolet.

I read this in the Sunday NY Times and immediately went to Youtube for this clip. They slathered on the praise pretty thick, at least as a slice of dishy kitsch. But the line between wonderful nostalgia and groan-inducing torture is pretty thin, as demonstrated here. While at Youtube, watch the opening sequence from the Paul Lynde Show (the editors had very little footage to work, apparantly).

I'm sorry, but I never saw another comment. Maybe it just didn't go through.
