what a ridiculous idea!
i worshipped the show, but it does not belong in movie theaters.
put some money into a quick 6 epi mini-series instead.

Selling a movie to the studios on the grounds that it's intelligent, complex and thought-provoking? I don't think that's quite how studio execs think.
Try: It's retro, ironic, popular with "the youth"...and has a sexy female alien.

Movie? DVD-only release? New series on some other channel? I don't care. Just please let it be true. Nobody watched this, and it was so great. I was watching it in real time, and with a friend who came late and was catching up on bit torrent, and the amount of foreshadowing was mad.
There was a big story in the NYTimes about Fox trying to keep it alive, saying they were going into a third season even though they had no viewership. I'm glad they stuck behind it as long as it did, and let it end big, but I still want more.
And Liza kicked ass!

I would absolutley love to see these characters revisited again and I believe they could do a good job with a flick... however this is the Strangers With Candy movie that is in the back of my mind, that to me as much as I loved EVERY episode of the series, was let down by the film. The film seemed much more tame than the series and so I would hate to see Arrested Development watered down or just not have the same magic it had on the small screen.
