This past Sunday Yo La Tengo came down to help us raise some much needed cash as part of this year's fundraising marathon. Unfortunately Georgia was unable to make it down to the Request-a-thon due to a bad case of the flu but Peter Walsh of Hypnolovewheel kindly stopped by to fill in on drums. A full set list can be found here.
One of the many highlights of the afternoon was YLT's take on Iggy's "The Passenger" wherein Ira used a sketchy recollection of the lyrics as an opportunity to opine on the downward trajectory of Jack Nicholson's film career over the past few years. Given Jack's most recent appearance at the end of this short piece, I'm inclined to agree.
Thanks to Phil Catalano & Evan Savitt for shooting and editing the video. More photos from Yo La Tengo's visit can be seen here (thanks to John Dalton). Don't forget to make a pledge.

Collars are for squares. Ira's no square.
