The late great Robbie "The Werewolf" Robison pioneered the genre of beatnik monster comedy folk, but not many followed in his footsteps. His one and only LP "At The Waleback" was recorded live in 1964, and while it is sort-of-famous for its great cover (look to your right), it is really hard to find. However, here it is in digital form, music and banter and all, as high-quality MP3s:
Vampire Man | Drums and Guns | My Little Brother | Frankie-Stein | That Judge | Censored Man | Count Dracula | Lucifer | Streets of Transylvania | Rockin Werewolf | Inside Story of Flamenco | Tiptoe Thru The Wolfbane | Censored Dooley
Later on, Robbie would be a founding member of the band Clear Light. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago. Read more about him here.
thnx for uppin'

Man, that was crazy! If more '60s folkies sounded like this, I might have actually liked that genre.
