One last reminder to everyone that we'll be live from the Fillmore NYC at Irving Plaza Thursday night for our final live blowout for WFMU's 50th Anniversary Free Music Series at 8:00 PM sharp. And we couldn't ask for a better bill (and ticket price, zilcho): Columbus, Ohio's Times New Viking start frying it up first, with Wire taking the headline spot at 9 PM, and we'll be broadcasting the whole damn thing, with between-set commentary from our own Trent and Marty McSorley. We've been getting the serious lead out of our styling WFMU tent/banner remote broadcast gear this year with Sonic Youth and the Feelies, the Ex and company, the All Tomorrows Parties weekend in September, so this show, as Joe Franklin would say, is the capper of the some consistent talent cream rising to the top. We thank everyone for taking the trouble to go out of their way to procure all these tickets (unfortunately they're all gone), and for joining WFMU all through 2008 to celebrate its 50th with the some incredible artists and organizations helping us out. If you have tickets, doors at 7:30 PM. Say hi at the WFMU table, we'll have swaggage, including brand new Free Music Archive Volume 2 CD samplers for giveaway.
Thanks..
