We posted earlier on the March 20th return to Spiro's in Austin for a second WFMU showcase, which will not only be broadcast, but also feature co-curatorial duties from San Francisco's Aquarius Records! We've just rounded out the event to a total of 14 (!) acts now: WFMU has added the awesome lo-fi psychwave combo Gary War (who recently played live on Jason Sigal's Talk's Cheap, image left Paslounge) and Aquarius have heaped onto the bonfire the crushing, weird SF undergound combo Prizehog, plus a late finale set by the dreamy New Orleans duo Belong. A perfect chill-down to a night of great pop, metal, folk, and psych-punk! Please see our earlier post for more info about this year's show (and some links to audio from last year's!)
Set times at Spiro's on the outdoor/indoor stages (611/615 Red River)
7:00 PM Prizehog / Gary War
8:00 PM Wildildlife / XYX
9:00 PM Slough Feg / Mayyors
10:00 PM Absu / The Renderers
11:00 PM Obits / Ovens
12:00 PM Major Stars / Woven Hand
1:00 AM Gunslingers / Belong
UPDATE: Belong's dropped out, we're sad to say. Playing at 1AM opposite Gunslingers we'll have Elm, a darkly/doom/drone side project of Barn Owl. Also a nice coda to the night's festivities!
The full SXSW music event schedule by day is listed here. Hope to see you there!
Absu and The Renderers—there's an evening of eclecticism at its finest!

It would be unbearable to go to SXSW. The choices that it forces you to make are paralyzing.
