I think he's lip sync-ing because he forgot the words

1) how can you forget the simple words to your own nonsense song?
2)why would anyone expect you to perform it? there's nothing to do with your body while singing it and it shows
3) he matches the description of some of the reported 'men in black' who appear to be 'not quite human', like puppets or androids, wear wigs, move in a herky jerky manner and whose speech often does not match their mouth and facial movements.
eeeeerie.

Actually, this took place on russian television, and they deemed the lyrics to be "in poor taste" so they made him do the da da da da da thing, if you will, in order to preform the song
