On Monday, join Liz Berg as she welcomes songwriter John Bellows, the one-man recording artist whose 2005 album Clean Your Clock was just re-released on Moniker. Bellows brings a lo-fi outsider perspective that's also thoughtful, emotional, and real; fans of Beck, Daniel Johnston, Jonathan Richman, and Jeffrey Lewis should pay special attention. 9/13, from noon to 3 PM.

Later that day, Mexico City's DJ Mezcalito visits Sound and Safe to help celebrate the bicentennial of Mexican independence. This broadcast will be extraordinary in another way: DJ Trent's mom, DJ Porter, will be in attendance to provide a special set. On Monday 9/13, from 9 PM to midnight.

Wednesday night, Ergo Phizmiz will broadcast the score for his mime-puppet opera, "La Puce de Neige" (The Snow Flea), on Do or DIY with People Like Us. This children's opera tells the story of a flea named Kerugug and his journey from Antarctica after being displaced through a hole in the world. Ergo Phizmiz's composition features field recordings of Inuit folk songs and also references Mussorgsky, Moondog, French folk, Augustus Pablo, Prokofiev, Strauss, and Raymond Scott. 9/15, from 7 to 8 PM.

My Castle of Quiet will feature a visit from Athanor (Todd Watson) of Husere Grav, who will bring a unique performance to WFMU. Husere Grav, out of Texas, treats the subjects of paranormal activity and nothingness with a black-metal sensibility, ultimately creating gloriously dark trip-out music. Join Husere Grav and host Wm. Berger on Wm. Berger presents My Castle of Quiet, 9/17 from midnight to 3 AM. Husere Grav will also be live at Port d'Or in Brooklyn the following night.

Lastly, Terre T is psyched to bring a live set from The Girls At Dawn, the all-girl trio from NYC whose full-length is forthcoming on Norton Records. Their sound resides where '60s psych meets '80s shamble, and they have gigs upcoming at Silent Barn (9/18), the Knitting Factory (9/22), and the Mercury Lounge (9/24).
