Marty McSorley hosts a live DJ set from Onra on Tuesday morning from 6 to 9 AM. The French-born Vietnamese producer, known for piecing together Chinese and Vietnamese records to form hip-hop tracks, has an album out now entitled Long Distance, on Allcity Records.

Later on Tuesday, Diane Kamikaze will bring in Kevin Clement, creator of the Chiller Theatre Expo. They will discuss this event, held this year at the Parsippany Hilton from October 29 - 31, and play some music from the guests that will play at the Halloween costume party Saturday night -- including Mark Lindsay, Lita Ford and the Human Beinz, and Chiller house band the Dead Elvi. Join them on Diane's Kamikaze Fun Machine, 10/19 from noon to 3 PM.

Thursday, while traveling on tour with Christian Mistress, Thrones comes by Talk's Cheap with Jason Sigal. Thrones has been the solo project of Seattle's Joe Preston (Sunn O))), High On Fire, Melvins) since 1994, an experimental doom/sludge act with many releases on various labels including Kill Rock Stars, Southern Lord, and Punk In My Vitamins?. Listen on 10/21, from 9 AM to noon.

Bassoon pioneer Katherine Young will come to the studio on Friday for a live session on Scott McDowell's program -- 9 AM to noon. Young will be heading out on tour next month, but first will bring her bassoon, improvisation skills, and variety of effects pedals to The Long Rally, manipulating the instrument in a way few ever have before.

On Friday night, live from the Record Fair, Chris T. will present an interview with the authors of Alphaville: 1988, Crime, Punishment, and the Battle for New York City's Lower East Side. In the book, retired NYPD detective Michael Codella and writer Bruce Bennett tell a story of Alphabet City in the 1980s, a neighborhood in the grip of drugs and violence. Signed copies will be available at the Record Fair for sale!
