Chico -- the alter ego of Antibalas' Marquitos Garcia (pictured) -- and his funky Afrocuban soul band will stop by for a live set before their record release party at Santos Party House later this week. Phill Niblock, minimalist composer and drone pioneer, will join Kurt Gottschalk on Miniature Minotaurs to talk and guest DJ. Though he is known for creating pieces with extremely slow movement, "sound without melody or rhythm," Niblock is also a fan of early jazz and bebop, and will be bringing along some of his favorite saxophone music. Billy and special guests will be at CRU, on Crown Alley in the Temple Bar district of the city centre, from 8 to 11 PM local time.
