Wednesday, on Miniature Minotaurs, Kurt Gottschalk is hosting a live performance by Chuck Bettis and Berangere Maximin. Maximin, whose work blends electronic, rock and world-music influences with field recordings, grew up on the French colonial island Reunion and began performing after relocating to Paris in 2002. Bettis, who came of age in the Washington, DC hardcore scene in the 90s, has worked with Ikue Mori, Yellow Swans, Carlos Giffoni and John Zorn. He and Maximin share a love for vocal and electronic music, and will perform as a duo on 2/9, from noon to 3 PM.
