I'm trying a new approach for this post. For multi-band events, my posts tend to be very very long, and the time it takes to do seems to make the effort moot, because they publish so far after the fact. So here are photos of some of the bands I took in at SXSW: bad vantage points are why some bands didn't make the cut. Here it is chronologically! Below: 1/2 of Italy's The Secret, Keith Morris of Off!, Easy Action
Next Row: YOB, Hammerhead (in an art space), 4/5ths of Hull
Row Below: Norway's Kvelertak, Richmond's The Might Could, el-g (WFMU showcase)
Below: (All 3 of these from the WFMU Showcase)The Endtables, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Whitehorse
Next row: Batillus (who will be performing on the Fun Machine this coming Tuesday), Castevet - who will be guests on My Castle of Quiet in April, Grayceon
Below: Deafheaven, Providence's The Body, Tombs
Below: Bruce Lamont & Mike Williams, The Rods, Pentagram
Below: Blower, Suplecs, Contrabandits (horn section)- All 3 from the High Times Doobie Awards
Next Row: Valient Thorr, Honky and to even the page out, a shot of me getting into Doug Evans' (Blower, Didjits) Dragster!!
And with that, she went blazing off into the sunset, and back to the Northeast; six inches of snow welcoming her!!!

It seems to me i saw and listen to some of these bands. I, personally, celebrate this year playing music together my own band. We've been playing for 4 years already. Share your success!
