Everything you say rings true except this was not a network show. This was just a local Nashville morning program. That's why we got a Nashville weather forecast. What's really sad is ... you would be hard-pressed to find ANY local station these days doing a live music show this early... or any time of the day, for that matter.

"the music really isn’t half bad either"? Are you deaf to the absolute brilliance of Jimmy Colvard, Thumbs Carlille, Bobby Dyson, BeeGee Adair, Roger Miller et. al.? These cats wailed. The Beatles were great, created some wonderful music, Byrds too (not as much). But the musicians on this program were the baddest dudes around. Yes, there's some corny shit, but it's brilliantly and honestly executed.
