On Marty McSorley's show, Arrington de Dionyso returns to WFMU with his project Malaikat Dan Singa -- his personal brand of Indonesian shaman rock. There will be throat singing, heavy bass, trashy guitars, intoxicating beats and hell dragons -- Tuesday 5/24 from 6 to 9 AM (web-only). Don't miss!

Finally, Paul Haney will visit My Castle of Quiet to talk with Wm. Berger and perform a live, in-the-moment set as Rust Worship. Rust Worship uses and abuses a variety of sonic sources, including cassettes, turntables, guitars, and glass, to create a polyrhythmic assault. In Wm.'s words, it can sound "like someone trying desperately to fight their way out of a bad dream." This happens Friday, May 27th, from midnight to 3 AM.

I'm listening to Michael Shelley and the World's Greatest Music Experts -- Gaylord Fields, Dennis Diken, Mr. Finewine, and Scott Schinder -- as they eruditely discuss Rebecca Black, music journalism, the notion of "selling out," and the end of the world, in a broadcast from last Saturday. Many music-expert listeners chimed in too, as you can see on the playlist of that show...
