Belgian synth pioneer Snowy Red (neé Mickey Mike, born Marcel Thiel) passed away three years ago last week -- in May of '09 -- so I've been spinning The Right to Die LP (Dirty Dance, 1982) at top volume for several days now. In my mind, the album's one of the most ferocious keys recs of the '80s and onward, and the world's worse for the wear without this moody paragon's presence. Have a listen and hoist a candle, chums. Does someone want to "gift" me the Chainsaw 45? I'll buy you a crabapple cake and a pack of gum.
