I was initially and perpetually inspired by this post on "Country Fuzz" to add in my own modest contribution, although, I don't really know too much about that and it's obvious that what I'm sharing here only superficially has anything to do with the original post in question, if at all. Instead I am posting about "the proper object of every man's attentions"; chicks, dolls, you know. I sort of feel like I am Andrew Dice Clay trying to give you dating advice, or demonstrating "Picking Up Girls Made Easy" only somehow having big vaseline laden hair. This is a part of history, and it's fun to make fun of parts of history that are silly now, and to think about how we will also look back from the future, and feel silly as well, about how we feel now. LOL
I had these two rollickin' country tracks that I thought were great (and kinda hilarious), and someone is trying to sell the one by Ray Pillow for $495 (!) for some reason. I spent a good year hoping that I would find this one single that I'd had. All I can remember is that the chorus is something like "36 at the top, 22 in the middle, 37 at the, ...hey hey!". It would have been a perfect trifecta. It really pains me that I can't find it among all of my 45s that I don't always (never really) arrange into any kind of order whatsoever. I don't know the name of the artist or anything. So maybe one of you fancy record collector types can help!? In the meantime, I know I'm going to really help out my cause by adding in this track from the record of the same name, even though it is a beatnik jazz song and doesn't really fit in with the rest at all, except for the obvious. It's about GIRLS though! What a novel idea! Sigh, I knew this would be awkward.

Related song: "I Could Love a Million Girls" is in The Simpsons episode 7G10: "Homer's Night Out". It's from a 1906 musical revue called Mam'zelle Champagne. While it was being sung on stage, one audience member was shot by the jealous husband of a showgirl he'd seduced.

Man, that guitar tone in the Ray Pillow song is flat out fantastic. Cool record, never heard it before, thanks!
